My partners and I searched for many months to find a tract of land we felt would provide an ideal blend of nature with a location ideally described as “removed not remote”. Traveling just over 3 miles from the valley’s main thoroughfare connecting Brevard, Hendersonville and South Asheville we located what is now the Homestead at Mills River. Being situated in Henderson County’s watershed district further reinforced our desire to develop a natural, low density community, we personally would like to (and do) call home.
The Homestead provides majestic views of the surrounding valley, the adjacent Pisgah National Forest and The Blue Ridge Parkway, while being only 7 miles from major shopping centers, numerous restaurants, the Asheville Airport, the WNC Agricultural Center and other modern day conveniences. We are very proud of the fact, at the Homestead, that deer and wild turkey are more plentiful than automobiles and noise-filled evenings.
